The Palmer exists in a cultural epicenter; the perfect spot to take advantage of what both the Main Line and Philadelphia have to offer. With St. Patrick’s day right around the corner, it can be hard to sort through so many different events and activities that are coming to the area. That’s why we thought we could do the hard part for you and pick out the best possible ways you can celebrate this lively holiday. Our choices were made with The Palmer’s convenient location in mind so why not try out one of these awesome picks, or all of them! Have a happy St. Patrick’s Day!
Philadelphia St. Patrick’s Day Parade – A true Philly tradition, this parade has been going on for 245 years. That’s older than our country! This year the parade will be held on Sunday, March 12th from noon to 3 pm. The theme is “Guide and Protect our Police Officers”.
The Official Erin Express – Hop on the ultimate St. Patrick’s Day bar crawl in Philly. This year buses stop at fifteen select locations. The Erin Express runs for two consecutive weekends surrounding St. Patrick’s day from 9 am to 6 pm. The best part is: it’s completely free!
Leprechaun Run – A great way to give back this St. Patrick’s day is to participate in the Leprechaun Run. The run returns to MLK Drive on Saturday, March 11th. Attendees can choose between a seven-mile run, five-mile run, and two-mile walk. All proceeds go to the Pennsylvania Special Olympics.
